The position reports to the Cold Cuts Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Greeting each customer with, Good (morning, afternoon, evening)! Welcome to Rouses! Engaging in appropriate conversations with customers and thanking them for choosing to shop with us Slicing cold cuts using the safe and efficient methods taught by Rouses Packaging items according to Rouse's specifications Keeping the Cold Cuts case full, fresh and orderly Rotating and/or pulling items on the sales floor by date and taking appropriate action Understanding the store layout to easily locate products for customers Completing assigned daily cleaning and sanitation procedures Maintaining a professional personal brand representation in the proper Rouse's uniform Reporting to work on time and as scheduled Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED Ability to acquire a Food Handler Card (Alabama stores) within 90 days of hire Prior experience working in a retail deli or cold cuts department Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen Physical Requirements:
Able to stand for extended periods of time Able to distinguish product quality and freshness standards Able to stoop, squat, reach and maneuver to move product, boxes, bags, shelving, carts and equipment Able to lift 50 lbs.
