IES is Actively recruiting Industrial Firefighters to be a member of the IES team providing mission-critical emergency preparedness, prevention and response services.
The successful candidate will be professional and mature in demeanor, understand the importance of being diligent and detail-oriented in inspections and other preparedness work and who thrives in a team setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Respond to all types of fires and a wide variety of emergencies, including hazardous materials incidents, rescues, natural disasters, and other emergency situations; performs searches suppresses and extinguishes fires, and performs related life and property protection; and provides emergency and medical care at a basic level Identifies, isolates, and contains hazardous materials in a safe and effective manner Drives emergency vehicles and operates related apparatus in order to respond to emergency calls and scenes Participates in on-going training and education sessions Ensures the proper condition, maintenance, and appearance of apparatus and equipment; prepares and ensures vehicles and apparatus are ready for immediate response Participates in the daily functions of the station duties which may include:
housekeeping, maintenance activities, and/or performing other related duties Performs other duties as assigned Must be willing to work extended assignments.
Assignments may be local, out of the local area, on land, and offshore.

The position involves considerable physical exertion.
This includes but is not limited to regular climbing of ladders and facility structures, donning of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time, lifting heavy objects (up to 70 pounds) on a frequent basis and/or assuming awkward positions for long periods of time.
Employees in this position are required to pass the NFPA 1582 standard physical annually.
Working Environment:
Routine exposures to significant levels of heat, cold, moisture and air pollution are possible/probable.
The position may involve periodic exposure to chemical substances and physical trauma of a minor nature such as cuts, bruises, and minor burns.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
