01 SUMMARY The Administrative Specialist II works under direct supervision but must make independent decisions in their area of responsibility based on department rules and procedures.
They are responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the department's services and all program administration.
Specific job positions may have specific duties that still fall in the general description.
MAJOR DUTIES May be responsible for monitoring departmental budgets and purchase orders Responsible for maintaining office by organizing office operation such as reviewing and approving supply requisitions and assigning clerical functions May be required to maintain internal quality control measures, accumulate data, prepare payment requests, purchase orders, special reports, or presentations Establish and maintain office procedures and filing systems which may include updating data bases, department files, and inventory control May assist in monitoring all departmental revenues and expenditures Prepare and submit departmental timesheets Supervision of Administrative Specialist I and other aspects of departmental processes which may include overseeing training for office personnel including maintaining training records As assigned, attend meetings, briefings, training session and seminars Any other duties as assigned MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Combined Secondary Education and
Experience:
(1) year combined progressively higher-level education (post high school) leading to a bachelor's or associate degree and directly related experience, or
Experience:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
