Summary:
Responsible for assisting all patients and visitors who enter the office.
Working to carry out all required duties and activities, as directed by the front office supervisor.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
? High school diploma or equivalent.
? Two years minimum experience in medical practice.
Responsibilities:
Patient Check-in 1.
Primary Duties ? Checks patients in, greeting everyone in a pleasant and professional manner.
? Evaluates chart data to verify all information has been received, completed, and signatures obtained.
o Insurance cards o Identification o Consents ? Photocopies patient's insurance card and identification.
? Enters all new patient demographic information into the computer.
? Marks the arrival time of patients in the office and makes sure that patients are seen on time.
Responsibilities:
Patient Check-out 1.
Primary Duties ? Presents and collects fees, posts charges and payments,and makes future appointments.
? Completes daily balancing duties for the billing department.
? Counts and maintains cash drawer daily.
? Backs-up phones.
? Backs up check-in with benefit and chart prep.
